Institutional Membership

Institutional membership is open to staff and students at postsecondary degree-granting institutions in the United States accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Membership in Canada is open to institutions approved by the local provincial government and authorized to grant degrees. Institutions outside the U.S. and Canada are eligible for the International Institutional category. Institutional memberships hold voting member status. Membership fees are based on total institutional expenditure.

Individual Membership

A limited number of individual memberships are available for high school personnel, retired AACRAO members, personnel from international secondary and postsecondary institutions and voting members of AACRAO who lose employment. All individual memberships are non-voting.

High School

High School membership is open to a registrar, counselor, or other personnel at a secondary school who would benefit from AACRAO membership.

International

International individual membership is open to education professionals outside of North America, including personnel at secondary or postsecondary institutions, or personnel representing education organizations or agencies.

Retired

Retired membership is open to individuals who have worked in the professions represented by AACRAO, have been a member of the Association and are currently retired.

Associate

Associate membership is open to voting members of AACRAO who lose employment and become no longer eligible for membership. This category is limited to one membership year.

Other Group Memberships

Affiliate

Affiliate Membership is open to state-licensed postsecondary institutions that are ineligible for regular voting membership. Affiliate memberships are non-voting. Membership fees are based on institutional expenditure using the same pricing structure as Institutional Membership for institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

Organization

Organizational Membership is available to public sector and private non-profit associations whose interests align closely with AACRAO. State higher education coordinating boards, other higher education associations, accrediting bodies, and international ministries of education all fit under this category. Organizational memberships are non-voting.

System Office

System Office Membership is available to centralized offices within postsecondary higher education systems. This membership applies exclusively to staff at offices serving an entire system and is not available to staff at individual institutions within that system. System Offices hold voting member status.

International Institution

International Institutional Membership is available to postsecondary institutions outside of the U.S. and Canada that are recognized by the Ministry of Education or equivalent governing body of their country and authorized to grant degrees. International Institutions hold voting member status.

Corporate membership

AACRAO Corporate Membership helps organizations build meaningful connections with higher education professionals while maximizing visibility across the AACRAO community.
